      What are the urban tribes?

The urban tribes are a social groups compoud by members that share an origin, tradition and habits together.

    

    Which are the usual types of urban tribes?

 

·Hipster: the culture hipster is a subculture of young bohemians middle class. It is associated with indie music, with a differet fashion to the common, based more on the independent things (that includes articles vintage), with a progressive political position and with the consumption of organic food. It is characterized to be a tribe away form the others common cultural.

·Hippie: It's called hippie to a movement alternative, libertarian and pacifist. It born in 1960 in the United States. Hippies listen psychedelic rock, groove and flok, they are in favour of sexual revolution and believe in the free love. Some of them participated in radical activism and in the use of marijuana and hallucinogenic like the LSD and other drugs with the intention of reaching the altered conscience states. It's a way to rebelling againts the system. Also they do meditation to looking for them interior peace. They're associated with the environment

                                        and with the spiritual.

·Posh: It's usually call posh people with a lot of money. Posh have a continuous attention to its perfect presence and continue fashions that are changing with the years. Some activities traditionally associated with these persons are sports like the tennis, sky or paddle tennis, certain genre musical like pop. Posh haven't an uniform ideology, although they are usually criticise for its conformism considering that happen in the society.





·Rocker: Rockers like the rock music like a way of life, differentiate for its aesthetic (long hair, jeans, leather jacket, boots, tattoos, piercings, etc.). They are associated for have a behaivour slack, daring and cocky, and hobbys like speed, musicals intruments... In some society rockers have been considered a social stigma for its ideology, tastes and clothing. Also they have been associted with the consumption of drugs as hippies.

·Pin-up: Pin-up does reference to the models who takes up magazines covers in the 40s or poses in the calendars. Their style of make-up, clothing, etc.., have been a symbol and a tendency for a lot of women. The pin-up girl is a woman so sexy, with big cleavage, but the most emphasize of her is the make-up's look, where emphasizes the eyes and the colour lips, and the hairstyle.






·Hip-hop: Rappers are young people and they love rap and hip-hop. Its origin is in the 70s when the rap appear in poor neighborhood from New York. In his beginning, rappers were black race fundamentally and with their music spreaded an message against the injustice system. The dance's styles of rappers are break dance and they love skate board and do graffiti. Rappers wear usually dress wide clothes, slippers and hats. Also they usually wear complements like bracelets, necklaces and kerchief.

                                

·Emo: Emos are people that appear sad and bitter. The genre of the music dominate in the 80s but during the 90s the emo music began to have popularity in the society. They use piercings, tattoos and they usually wear black clothes with a touch of colour.





Urban tribes are a search of a personality. It's one way to express your feelings and be yourself without matter that people think about you. My question is: Which urban tribe would you catalogue?
